composed of nows
‘composed of nows’ takes its title from Emily Dickinson’s poem ‘Forever is composed of Nows’ in which Dickinson suggests that eternity is the accumulation of the present, each fleeting ‘now’ a part of something continuous and immeasurable.
This series, consisting of candid and staged imagery, draws on the Celtic concepts of hiraeth, síreacht and cianalas. Each work serves as a dreamstate vignette, reflecting a longing or ache for a time or place that can no longer be returned to - or perhaps never truly existed.
This exhibition features new work across 35mm photography, Polaroid and writing.

The Postal Exchange

Across 2025, twenty-four artists have taken part in The Postal Exchange.
Matched at random, each pair exchanged art materials via the post over several months. The goal of the project was to spark new creative practices, shake up existing working methods, and encourage collaboration. The resulting work, comprising of collage, photography, and mixed media was showcased in The Postal Exchange exhibition at Leith Makers, (15th October - 26th October 2025).
